The role

A leading UK Casino Operator is seeking to recruit a talented for the position of Casino Surveillance Officer.

The Role

  • Our Surveillance Officers have exceptional skills in relation to negotiation and communication and are advocates of creating a friendly; entertaining and safe Casino environment compliant with license conditions; Gambling legislation and SIA CCTV legislation.

  • Providing timely advice; support; guidance and direction for both site senior management; stakeholders and third-party service providers with regards to the secure and compliant gaming environment.

  • The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of the gaming industry, including customer networks and information as well as an excellent grasp of customer services principles as the key focus will be to deliver a high-quality surveillance service to the Group.

  • As a Surveillance Officer you will work closely with the senior management teams from all departments at all sites to improve security and minimise risk and losses as well as to ensure the safety and comfort of those patrons visiting our casinos whilst promoting our reputation for honesty and integrity.

Selection Criteria (Essential)

  • A valid PFL holder.

  • Live Table Gaming experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of the games played in the casino.

  • Advanced knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.

  • Knowledge & understanding of Casino legislation and compliance.

  • Whilst training will be provided, please note that this is not a trainee position.

The Company

This growing Casino Company are seeking a capable and talented Deputy General Manager to help contribute to the continued success of the club and the company.

The Role

  • As Deputy General Manager you will provide significant operational support and assistance to the General Manager in leading the businesses managers to achieve and surpass the overall business goals of the unit.
  • The responsibilities include:
    • Highly visible and vigilant operational management leadership
    • Commercial awareness and oversight for all departments
    • Working closely with the GM and senior management teams fostering strong and effective working relations
    • A focus on maintaining and improving customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility with the GM for the Financial Performance of the business
  • Including the achievement of budgeted EBITDA.
  • Increase gaming and hospitality revenues, whilst minimizing financial risk
  • P&L accountable with audit responsibilities.
  • Providing both through example and through development and training the highest standards of service throughout the business from management and staff
  • Take ownership of staff development training and management, creating a high performing, effective and customer focused team
  • Minimise risk to business and self by ensuring operations and personal license commitments are carried out in accordance with legislative regulations.        
  • This includes Gaming Procedures, Responsible Gambling, Anti-Money Laundering Data Protection, Liquor licensing conditions and health & safety.

The Requirements        

  • 3 years Senior Casino Management experience.
  • Holds a PML.
  • Knowledge of the UK gaming regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of service industry and service culture.
  • Proven capability and knowledge of strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting and financial processes.
  • Solid understanding of leadership and management practices.                                     
  • Adaptable management style to positively, productively and efficiently liaise with all levels of management
  • Commercially astute and Customer Service focused
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Concise and positively enforced communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management skills and problem solving abilities

The Company

A leading Casino Operator in the UK is seeking an Assistant Casino Manager to support and assist the General Manager and Casino Managers in achieving the highest standards in the overall operation of the casino.

The Role

  • Take overall control of the operations in the Casino in the absence of senior management.
  • Otherwise to support and assist senior management to ensure customer service and operational standards are kept to the highest level, while ensuring the operation is compliant.
  • A strongly visible leadership style is key.

Operational

  • You are able to provide insight during discussions of the business at management meetings, including discussions of a commercial, procedural or people management nature.
  • That gaming is fully compliant to the rules of the games, company procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure that at all times the club has the optimum level of suitably experienced staff.
  • Excellent communications are developed and encouraged throughout the casino.
  • Supervise all team members and ensure that standards of inspecting and dealing required are adhered to.
  • Ensure that all gaming equipment is functioning properly, ensure the maintenance of adequate floats and maintain an hourly report sheet with casino results and cash drop. 
  • Assist with the supervision of count procedures.
  • Notify senior management immediately of any disputes that cannot be settled on the casino floor and of any customer requests that cannot be similarly settled.
  • To support the management team in the delivery of promotions and events, helping to drive profitable admissions.

People Management

  • To continually drive improved performance for the whole team by providing support, feedback and coaching.
  • Conducting appraisals and to help and assist underperforming reports and recommend remedial disciplinary action as and when required
  • Conduct disciplinaries and grievance hearings at the request of senior management.

Customer Service

  • Empower your teams to continually look for ways to develop the product and service delivered.
  • To resolve customer complaints using all available information, reaching decisions that treat customers consistently and fairly.
  • Place a high priority on good customer relations on the casino floor.  This duty includes having a good knowledge of players, their gaming methods, performance at the tables and their status in relation to cheque encashment
  • To proactively encourage customer loyalty by driving and promoting the Company's loyalty scheme, whilst ensuring your teams are also engaged with the process.

Compliance and Security

  • To ensure full compliance with company and legal procedures in all areas to include, for example, money laundering, gaming activity, health and safety, hygiene and fire regulations.
  • To ensure all licensing laws are complied with and any breaches reported promptly through the required reporting procedures.
  • To have a good knowledge of all forms of fraudulent behaviour in casinos.
