Do you have a background in table games, and do you want to progress your career to move outside of casino operations?

Are you comfortable dealing with casino management at all levels from single site operators to massive corporate clients?

If so, this might be the job for you.  Our client needs a Client Relationship Manager to manage our customer accounts.  We work with almost every UK casino operator, maintaining a strong connection with each casino company. You’ll need to have project management skills, and a thorough understanding of tables games and the maths behind them.  If you don’t know how to work out theoretical loss now, off the top of your head, this job’s not for you – no bluffers!

It’s not strictly a sales role, but you’ll need to think like a sales person, and be aware of what’s going on in the market, both in terms of competitors, technology, and changes in the UK law.

There will be a fair amount of travel involved, with expenses covered.

Role Purpose

  • Reporting to and working in partnership with the Head of Gaming, the Operational Gaming Support Manager will be the gaming expert and will support the business by ensuring the maximum machine earnings.

  • Managing the Gaming Specialists to ensure we execute the company product strategy, acting as product Ambassadors.

  • The Operational Gaming Support Manager will assist the Head of Gaming with Gaming Strategy and Initiatives, whilst taking ownership for Specialist Projects.

  • In addition, assisting with the production of ongoing Strategic Reporting Requirements.

  • The Operational Gaming Support Manager will ensure the Gaming Specialists assist across the estate, to maximise machine revenue activities centring on financial opportunities, by monitoring machine performance.

  • They will support, coach and develop the Gaming Specialists working alongside them to share product/machine knowledge to the Operations community.

  • Identifying Risks and Opportunities with the focus being delivering results.

Profit

  • To achieve and exceed annual operating profits & gross revenue.

  • Ensure tight cost control in line with business requirements.

  • Ensure costs are kept within agreed budget/forecasts.

  • Highlight areas of financial concern and recommend action to improve profit conversion.

Strategic Plans

  • Support the Head of Gaming to create, develop and execute the company product strategy.

  • Support the Head of Gaming with Gaming initiatives and strategies, such as maximisation of value from Tournaments and automated/intuitive machine promotions (Rules Based Awards).

  • Create, develop, and execute a training, development plan for the Area Management & Store Management teams.

  • Enhancing Operations machine & product knowledge, which will maximise stores earning potential.

  • Manage product knowledge communications ongoing.

  • Oversee the maintenance and production of Game Content briefs and communications.

  • Oversee the maintenance of Gaming hardware and content eLearning.

Product

  • To have commercial awareness of machines in the competitive arena, new product, and industry movements.

  • Assisting the Head of Gaming and working in partnership with the Gaming Specialists you will gather industry information, identify risks and trends, and monitor innovations.

  • Assisting the Head of Gaming, you and your direct reports will research up and coming product, looking at digital design and methodology.

  • To manage the long-term efficiency, effectiveness, and best use of various products.

  • Understanding and flawlessly executing company strategy and standards.

  • Increase growth and profitability of business from current level through monitoring machine performance.

  • Implement a machine monitoring system, monitor machine moves and uncover unusual activity.

  • Create relationships with third parties, including machine manufacturers and game developers, and liaise with them ongoing to enhance profit conversion.

Performance

  • Working with the Gaming Specialists to identify, recommend and implement machine revenue growth opportunities, involving the AM’s, ensuring solutions are appropriate to their local requirements.

  • Driving machine performance by highlighting opportunities to turn around poor performing machines.

  • Escalate and develop proposals for areas of development.

  • Review and provide “field intelligence” on competitor’s product on a regular basis and formulate any relevant response to change plan.

  • Assist with the development of the departmental KPI data, ensuring it is effective, pragmatic, and relevant to the business to enable cost control.

  • Maintain and carry out in depth product review, including a detailed report of machine percentage settings, identifying most beneficial pay out profile.

  • Liaise with manufactures on all product developments building relationships and contacts.

Leadership

  • Manage the Gaming Specialists and Gaming Administrator.

  • To be an ambassador of the company brand and culture.

  • To lead, inspire and motivate operational teams to have a “Can Do” attitude.

  • Will provide advice on policies relating to gaming.

  • Lead from the front, undertake regular store visits supporting and coaching management teams and Gaming Specialists.

  • You will be a “go to” person who liaises between operations & head office focusing on the following key areas:

    ➢ Machine performance

    ➢ Machine make up (revenue/type)

    ➢ Service performance

    ➢ Planned machine movements

    ➢ Licensing requirements

  • Work with the Head of Gaming focusing on issues that affect income, performance, and profitability.

 

Budget & Finance

  • Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting, including;

    ➢ Machine/Content Rentals

    ➢ Machine Cap Ex

  • Assist the Head of Gaming in monitoring actual spend against budget.

Business Development, Expansion, & Specialist Projects

  • Working in partnership with the Head of Gaming you will take ownership for gaming element of specialist projects, such as new venue acquisitions and venue refurbs.

  • Review & monitor new store layouts and machine changeovers, reporting on success or failure.

  • Regularly produce Performance Reports focussing on business growth, new strategic concepts, and product.

Reporting

  • Assist with monthly reporting for presentation to the wider business and Group.

  • Report on any new adding value strategies to present to the Operations Team, assisting with the roll out of new value adding concepts.

Compliance

  • Ensure you are “safe & legal”, fully compliant with regards to current legislation met under The Gambling Act.

  • Ensure the Gambling Commission objectives are followed and implemented without exception.

  • Produce and maintain necessary compliance reporting that can be referred to upon request.

The Role

  • The CRM Manager is responsible for creating, implementing and optimizing the CRM marketing strategy for the UK market, and standalone casino products, focusing on reactivation and retention of the customer base to drive lifetime value from the customer and deliver business growth.

Basic Requirements:

  • Significant (5+ years) experience in a CRM strategy role, preferably with an online gaming/gambling, VIP management.

  • Experienced (+2 years) in leading in a multi vertical and multi-channel environment.

  • Experience in online Casino working with segmentation and modelling of high-value players will be considered an asset.

  • Understanding of enterprise email or mobile marketing strategy, measurement, vendor ecosystems, industry trends and tactical approaches to driving customer acquisition and retention.

  • Can work under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Basic coding and editing HTML email templates (preferred but not essential).

  • An analytical and data-led approach.

  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced setting.

  • High intellectual curiosity, drive, and Mature, proactive & positive 'can do' attitude.

  • Previous experience in bonus configuration will be considered.

  • Previous experience using Adobe Campaign and Playtech IMS will also be considered a strong asset.

Essential Knowledge:

The Role

  • Reporting to and working in partnership with the National Gaming and Operational Support Manager, the Gaming Administrator will assist with Gaming Operational Support and Analysis. 

  • The Gaming Administrator will aid in identifying opportunities to drive performance via effective data investigations.

  • The Gaming Administrator will assist the National Gaming and Operational Support Manager, along with the BI Manager with daily administration tasks as required.

  • Ensure that the department is a value adding service provider by giving a first-class service to all departments, with the focus being delivering results.

 The Responsibilities

  • Assist the National Gaming and Operational Support Manager, along with the gaming specialists with any general administrative tasks.

  • Work with the National Gaming and Operational support manager to reconcile monthly invoices, received in relation to machine/content rentals and machine/peripheral purchasing.

  • Work in conjunction with the Gaming and Operational Support Manager, along with the Marketing Team to produce Game Briefs for any new titles. 

  • Liaise with Machine Manufacturers with reference to performance of Test machines, circulating the report internally on a Weekly Basis.

  • Work in conjunction with the National Gaming and Operational Support Manager, and Gaming Specialists to further understand the performance of new/test machines.

  • Gather intel to assist with the production of Reporting Packs.

  • Work with the Gaming and Operational Support Manager, the Gaming Specialists, and Logistics Team to manage machine moves and allocations, in turn ensuring the maximisation of business revenue.

  • Manage and oversee the upkeep of the Gaming sections of the Company Intranet.

  • Investigate any concerns with reference to machine performance and potential Frauds, reconciling and highlighting any concerns on a weekly basis.

  • Identify and execute areas of concern to improve offerings and create efficiencies.

  • Support with sourcing relevant content material to aid the marketing team with gaming promotions.  

  • Create ad hoc reports as requested by the Head of Gaming, and/or National Gaming and Operational Support Manager.

  • Assist the BI Manager upon request.

  • Utilise reports produced by the BI Team to assist the field-based members of the Gaming Team, highlighting successes and risks that should be reviewed. 

  • Utilise BI Reporting to identify opportunities to optimise machine re-allocation.

  • Support with ad hoc strategic departmental projects as and when required.

  • To provide telephone support to all operational units.
