Job Title: Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Position Summary:

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper in both public areas and floor cleaning, planning and operation of the Housekeeping Department to ensure that service standards and guests’ expectations are met and exceeded.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the Housekeeping Department is managed efficiently according to the established Hotel standard

  • Manages the day-to-day operation of the department with the ability to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs

  • Assists with the preparation of the annual Rooms Business Plan ensuring Divisional Objective fully concur with the business objectives of the hotel and needs of employees

  • Assists in all rooms inventories

  • Effective and efficient management of public area cleaning programs of assigned areas. These areas include gaming, F&B outlets, perimeter and car parks, toilets, and all back of house staff facilities

  • Coordinates all cleaning activities with relevant departments to achieve desired results with minimum disruption to gaming, Food and Beverage and Hotel operations

  • Coordinate’s training programs for cleaning fostering the career development of all team members

  • Develops and continuously improves the Standard Operating and Emergency Procedures for all cleaning activities

  • Implements and monitors of quality assurance program to ensure consistent cleaning standards are maintained throughout the complex

  • Ensures adequate staffing levels are maintained for each shift rotation to meet the cleaning demands and maintain five-star service standards

  • Ensures all Housekeeping staff adheres to established policies and procedures

  • Manages cleaning activities of all contract cleaners to ensure set standards are achieved

  • Actively participates in health and safety activities to ensure workplace hazards are minimized and the health and safety of all employees is not compromised

  • Ensures all cleaning machinery is maintained as per R & M Schedules

  • Supports other sections within the Housekeeping such as Cloakroom, Wardrobe and Public Areas

  • Works closely with Front Office and engineering department to ensure the property is being kept at all times in pristine condition

  • Upkeeps and communicates maintenance issues to maintenance team monitoring satisfactory completion

  • Works closely with engineering department to ensure the property is being kept at all times in pristine condition

  • Works preventive programs with engineering to ensure not only keeping up the quality standards but also surpassing all the set standards

  • Ensures the attitude and public demeanour of all the Housekeeping staff are a true representation of the Company

  • Acts as an ambassador for the rest of the team

  • Reports accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues to supervisors

  • Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time

  • Recommends and/or executes management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years working experience, with 2 years in Assistant Manager position

Main Objective:
