Job Title: Senior 2D/3D Creative Concept and Production Artist/Animator

Location: Oxford UK- office based job

Salary: Attractive depending on experience

We are looking for a talented and passionate 2D/3D artist to join our team and create stunning slot games for various mobile-first platforms. You will be responsible for taking a game brief and designing the concept for the game so that you and others in the team can work together to bring that concept to a production environment with high-quality 2D and 3D assets, animations, and effects for our games. You will work as a part of a creative team collaborating with other artists, designers, developers and testers to produce feature rich games both for our internal platforms and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and illustrate 2D and 3D elements for slot games, such as symbols, backgrounds, UI, animations, and effects.

  • Create detailed concept art, storyboards and sketches based on a game brief of theme, feature set and style to allow stakeholders to visualise your concept in order to green-light a project through multiple iterations and revisions.

  • Develop 2D and 3D assets in various styles and genres, such as realistic, cartoon, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.

  • Optimize 2D and 3D assets for performance and quality.

  • Work closely with the existing creative team and other teams to ensure the artistic vision and quality standards are met.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the game art and design.

  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the slot game industry.

Requirements:

  • A strong portfolio of 2D and 3D artwork, preferably related to slots and casino games.

  • A proven track record in producing concept art and specifications from game briefs that can be translated into production ready games by artistic teams.

  • Proficiency in Spine, Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, Blender, or other relevant software tools.

  • Experience in creating 2D and 3D assets for games, including textures, lighting, shading, rigging, animation, etc.

  • Knowledge of game art pipelines and best practices.

  • An ability to use and understand AI tools that will streamline the process of developing slot games.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Be able to work quickly and to tight deadlines when required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle feedback constructively.

  • Passion for playing and making slot games.
