Sales & Business Development Manager  (iGaming)

Our Client is a company that is rapidly establishing itself as a leading digital consultancy in the UK, with over 15 years of experience designing and delivering digital products and services for major organisations. 

About the role:
As a Sales & Business Development Manager (iGaming), you will be instrumental in driving new business growth within the iGaming sector, aligned with our core industry strategy. Our focus is on regulated operators across the UK, US, and Europe, targeting both central teams and brands across sectors such as sportsbook, casino, fantasy, trading, and retail. You will also cultivate relationships with Tier 1 and 2 suppliers to generate revenue and increase our market influence.

Your key responsibilities include identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities, establishing relationships with decision-makers, and understanding their challenges to propose tailored solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Opportunity Identification & Prospecting: Lead the pursuit of new business, especially targeting Tier 1 and 2 operators and suppliers. Engage actively in the iGaming community through networking, events, and outreach to build a strong pipeline and attract high-value clients.

  • Pipeline Management: Develop and sustain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads. Accurately forecast revenue, track deal progress, and provide updates to senior management. Ensure seamless handover of closed deals to the Client Services and Delivery teams.

  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders within target organizations. Understand their needs, challenges, and goals to recommend impactful solutions.

  • Sales Process Oversight: Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation and qualification to proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and closing contracts.

  • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed revenue targets by executing strategic sales plans, managing your pipeline effectively, and prioritizing high-value opportunities.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to position The company as a leader and inform go-to-market strategies.

What we are looking for:

Skills & Experience

  • Proven Track Record: Significant experience in business development or sales within the iGaming sector. Demonstrable success meeting or exceeding sales targets, with an existing network of clients and contacts (CTO, CIO, CDO) is highly desirable.

  • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Exceptional ability to negotiate, present, and communicate. Experience with complex deal structures and closing multi-year contracts. Proven relationship cultivation with C-suite clients at both established and emerging organizations.

  • Sector Expertise: Deep knowledge of the iGaming industry, including trends, regulation, technology platforms, and major market players (e.g., OpenBet, Playtech, Evolution Gaming, Microgaming, Scientific Games). Familiarity with regulatory bodies like UKGC, MGA, and US state regulators is advantageous.

  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and craft solutions aligned with client and organizational goals. Strong ability to articulate value propositions.

Technology Understanding

  • Knowledge of digital technologies relevant to iGaming, including:

    • Cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

    • Software Development Methodologies (DevOps, Agile, Scrum)

    • Containerisation & API Development

    • Cloud Migration & Operations (FinOps, AIOps)

    • Customer experience and digital transformation strategies within iGaming
