Job Title: (Position Filled) Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Salary: £100K+

Location: Remote

The Role

  • The CTO will be responsible for the technology infrastructure of the company.

  • The CTO will be in charge of the company’s information technology and computer systems with duties including assessing current processes, recommending software upgrades, and directing the executive team on the best processes.

Chief Technology Officer Duties

These responsibilities include:

  • Creating an environment that understands and values change, innovation and improvement and build commitment for new initiatives and ideas.

  • Coordinate projects to ensure that deadlines are met and monitor the progress of projects to ensure that they are on track with the schedule whilst measuring and managing the efficiencies within the complete System Development Life Cycle (end-to-end, from design through to deployment and maintenance).

  • Providing structure and purpose to ensure that goals are met including but not limited to planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counselling and disciplining people; developing and coordinating.

  • Being responsible for the technology architecture of an organisation.

  • Developing, tracking and controlling the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations.

  • Running the team of IT engineers within the organisation.

  • Using technology to improve on the products that the company has to offer.

  • Assisting other departments in using technology effectively.

  • Researching any new technologies that may potentially increase our company’s competitive advantage.

  • Liaising and collaborating with suppliers of technical solutions to enhance product range and customer relations.

  • Ensuring that product architecture supports the priorities of the business.

  • Monitoring web analytics and making recommendations that align with business goals.

  • Building processes for data protection and quality assurance.

  • Making executive decisions regarding our company’s technological needs.

  • Working closely with Finance, Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.

  • Developing and implementing all of our internal communication systems, including email and messaging.

  • Studying information processing systems to evaluate the effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Planning and strategizing to reduce costs and improve profits.

  • Ensuring the company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations.

  • Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company wide.

  • Representing the company at conferences and networking events.

Chief Technology Officer Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven track record within the i-gaming sector.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT/Technology.

  • Minimum 5 years software development experience.

  • Master’s in computer science and technology or other relevant qualifications.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • A high standard of written and oral communication.

  • Highly developed analytical skills.

  • The ability to think critically.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability as a motivator.

  • Experience of research.

  • An in-depth understanding of IT terminology.

  • Client management experience.
